ReclameArsenaal

The ReclameArsenaal foundation is responsible for preserving and administering the Dutch national advertising heritage. The foundation collects and administers advertisement collections of historical interest and displays them online.

In addition, the ReclameArsenaal encourages research, arranges presentations, mounts exhibitions, runs a knowledge centre and advises or helps third parties engaged in similar activities. The foundation came into being in 2001 following a merger between the Nederlands Reclamearchief (Dutch Advertising Archive), founded in 1981, and the Nederlands Reclame Museum (Dutch Advertising Museum), founded in1975.

The digitized collection of the ReclameArsenaal is showcased through the International Advertising & Design Database (IADDB). Through this website you will find, among others, posters, packaging materials, brochures and radio and television commercials. The magazine collection of the ReclameArsenaal has also been digitized and can been searched by text (OCR) via the IADDB. The books from the ReclameArsenaal library can been found at the International Institute of Social History.
