- Description
- The Polish city Krakow was founded in the 8th century. The city was known as an important commercial center. Krakow stayed the capital of Poland for a long time until the government was moved to Warsaw in 1596. Until far into the 18th century, the Polish kings were crowned in Krakow. This view on the city of Krakow was probable published by Johannes Janssonius (1688-1664).
