Viking silver hoard The Middle Ages are well known for the Vikings and the knights. But many of the objects in this collection bear witness to the daily life of the citizens in a medieval town.

Items of special interest are a child's shoe from central Delfland, a unique, gem encrusted brooch from Dorestad (Wijk bij Duurstede) dating from around 800 AD, and a silver hoard, buried in Wieringen by a Viking more than one thousand years ago.
