Description
Het stadhuis van Franeker werd in L-vorm gebouwd in de jaren 1591-94. In 1760 werd een gedeelte afgebroken en vervangen door een langgerekte vleugel onder zadeldak. Van 1887-1890 werd het gerestaureerd olv. architect Jos Cuypers en inwendig omstreeks 1955 door Ir. J. J. M. Vegter. Litt. : J. Mens: Oude raadhuizen. Amsterdam, 1960; G. Zeegers/ I.
